The Editor of The Log, Russell Priest, holds the R A Priest/Nautical Association of Australia collection of ship images in various formats, both black & white and colour, of approximately 50,000 vessels. The period covered is from the late 1800s to modern times, containing the work of many Australasian and worldwide photographers. The aim of the collection is to centralise individual collections to ensure they are preserved for posterity and made available for publishers, maritime researchers and collectors etc.
There is an almost complete record of Australian and New Zealand shipping since World War II and many which predate that. Post-war British and European shipping, especially that which traded to Australasia, is also well represented. Standard designs are also included from Victorys etc to SD14s.

The Catalogue currently lists 26,000 vessels and can be viewed or downloaded from this website - (PDF format).
